The SRLCC Steering Committee meeting took place April 29-May 1, 2014, at the New Mexico State Capital in Sante Fe.
The Gulf Coastal Plains & Ozarks Landscape Conservation Cooperative Steering Committee traditionally meets two times per year face to face: in the spring for an annual retreat and in the fall, in conjunction with the Southeast Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies meeting. Below we have catalogued the background notebook materials prepared for Steering Committee members for each meeting, listed chronologically, as well as the notes from each meeting.
Members of the Landscape Conservation Cooperative (LCC) Council held their first meeting February 4th and 5th at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C.
If you are attending the Midwest, please join us at the LCC Landscape Symposium session on Monday, January 27, from 10:40am to 3pm, to hear updates on activities in the three LCCs in the Midwest region and provide input on future direction.
The Eastern Tallgrass Prairie and Big Rivers LCC Steering Committee meets twice a year to review progress and provide direction. The Missouri Department of Conservation will host the upcoming Steering Committee meeting at their regional office located just outside of St. Louis, Missouri.
Steering Committee Meeting Objectives
This new course provides active, hands-on training for public, private, and tribal natural resource managers across the Midwest and Northeast who are interested in actively enhancing the ability of forests to cope with changing conditions. During this course, managers will learn how to incorporate climate change considerations into forest management planning and activities.
The SRLCC Steering Committee meeting took place July 30 – 31, 2013 at the National Park Service, Intermountain Region Office Building, 12795 W. Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, CO.
The Indiana Chapter of the Nature Conservancy hosted a LCC Steering Committee meeting in Indianapolis with representatives from across the federal, state and NGO partnership. At this meeting, NOAA was approved and welcomed as a new member of the partnership. The Technical Advisory Group working structure was finalized.
